Happy New Year!

It’s been awhile since this blog has been active, and during that time my listening habits have changed somewhat.

Over at that wonderful Russian place with the quirky mods there’s a very nice hi-res section full of vinyl rips which I got turned on to – thanks to the great rippers there and elsewhere.

Surround is still cool, but just like a lot of other stuff that has been released in the digital age – there are lot of SACD and DVD-Audio releases that have an excessive use of compression just like their CD counterparts. What a shame I’m sure that is just one more reason that both SACD and DVD-Audio are pretty much dead formats....
